Water cress is a water-loving plant. Water cress provides water gardeners with a fast growing, attractive plant that will grow when the weather is cold. It is a green leafy plant that has tiny white flowers. It blooms in March-November. It looks great in waterfalls. The plant also thrives on high nutrient levels in the water making it great for veggie filters. Height to 4" or more. Planting depth to 6". Hardy to zone 7. Full sun to partial shade.

Leaves are 1-2" in diameter and have a nice chestnut-colored blotch on many of them. A great surface-covering plant with showy three petaled flowers late in the summer. Glossy green leaves floating on the surface (lily like), with yellow poppy shaped flowers, and black centers. Flowers during the summer. 4-12in. with a 1-5ft spread. Full sun to part shade. Hardy to zone 7.
This charming plant's leaves may be ribbon-like to spoon-shaped, and has a unique white star-shaped bloom. The White Star has creeping, vine-like tendency making new plants along its way. This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds. Flowers are fragrant. Planting depth to 6". Hardy to at least zone 7. Sun to Partial Shade.
Zebra
Rush (Scirpus tabernaemontani zebrinus)
Prominent white stripes run horizontally around the stems of this plant. Stripes are more pronounced in full spring sun and if the plant is properly fertilized. Segmented stalks with a horizontal green and white variegation. Ideal for background. Bright banding on stalks may fade in summer heat, but return on fall growth. Height to 48". Planting depth to 6". Hardy to zone 5. Sun to Part Shade.
