Baby's
Breath (Alisma plantago-aquatica)
A stout bog plant with oval leaves
under water, and oval to heart shaped leaves on long stems above the
water. Small white and pink flowers are borne in sprays on a 3 foot high
highly branched inflorescence. The effect of inflorescence in full bloom
reminds one of a spray of Baby's Breath flowers, used in floral
arrangements. The foliage is a pleasant moss green. Reseeds freely.
Planting depth to 6". Height to 2'. Hardy to zone 5. Full sun.
Baby's Tears (Soleirolia soleirolii)
Beautiful lobe-shaped green foliage spreads rapidly on pink
thread-like stems. Pink tinged white flowers appear in summer. Can be
used as a floating plant or potted. Planting depth to 3". Hardy to
zone 6. Prefers part shade. (Out

Bacopa- Lemon (Bacopa Caroliniana)

Easy
to grow. Heavily lemon scented glossy foliage and pale
blue flowers all summer. Will grow fully submerged. Great for streams and bogs. Hardy
zones 6-9. Growing height: 4-8". Planting depth: Top of the pot should be
0-6" below the water surface. Thrives in full sun to partial shade.
Bamboo "Dwarf" (Dulichium Arundinaceum)
A graceful, smaller Bamboo. A good pool border
plant. Flowers in Summer. Planting depth to 6". Height to 24".

trumpet-shaped summer flowers. Dark purple-green foliage that provides a

compacta 'Katie')
A
dwarf Blue Bells. This baby flowers with such profusion that at times
you can barely see the foliage. Bluish-purple, tubular, trumpet-shaped,
petunia-like flowers (1.5") cover this plant throughout the summer.
Linear, sword-shaped deep green leaves that measure 4-5 inches long. Flowers July, August, September.
Height to 10". Planting depth of up to 2" under water. Blooms
best in full sun but will tolerate part shade. Hardy to zone 8.
Blue-Eyed Grass (Sisyrinchium bellum)
Tufts of narrow, upright bluish-green
leaves with constellations of bluish-purple star-shaped flowers that
appear for several weeks in spring. Height to 18". Planting depth

Blue Heart
Features a deep
green, heart-shaped leaf, pale blue blooms. It has creeping, vine-like
tendency making new plants along its way. This plant is attractive to
bees, butterflies and/or birds. Flowers are fragrant. Planting depth to

Blue Rush (Juncus 'glauca')
This is one of the bluest aquatic plants. An easy plant to grow and
is semi-evergreen. Height to 2'. Planting depth to 6". Hardy to

Bog Lily (Crinum 'Americanum')
White flowers on and off throughout the spring and summer months. The
flower is very fragrant. Height to 24". Planting depth to
6". Hardy to zone 7. Full sun to part shade.
Bulrush (Scirpus cyperinus)
This accent plant grows 3 to 5 feet high and
produces an umbel of spikelets atop slender stems. The spikelets turn
woolly when in fruit. Height to 6'. Planting depth to 12". Hardy to
zone 6. Full sun to part shade.
Buttercup (Ranunculus)
This buttercup cultivar is a
dense, creeping ground cover that typically grows to 10 inches tall and features
attractive, chartreuse and gold, deeply cut, serrated, snowflake-like leaves on
creeping stems which root as they go at the nodes. Bright yellow flowers appear
above the foliage in spring. Height to 12". Planting depth to 6".

Buttercup "Buttered Popcorn" (Ranunculus Repens)
Snowflake serrated leaves have a gold
center, surrounded by a wide border of chartreuse. Yellow blooms. Height
to 12 inches. Planting depth to 6". Hardy to zone 3. Full sun to
partial shade.
Buttercup "Slender"
About the same as the regular Water Buttercup
except the foliage isn't quite as dense, and is more slender. Height
to 2'. Planting depth to 6". Hardy to zone 4. Full sun to
partial shade.
